Notarize a Corporate Resolution Over Zoom from China
Banks, landlords and counterparties require notarized corporate resolutions before they will deal with a representative of the company. We handle it on Zoom from anywhere in China.
Do LLC resolutions need to be notarized?
Usually not by law, but in practice yes. No state statute makes an LLC or corporate resolution invalid without a notary stamp. The requirement comes from whoever receives the document. Banks routinely refuse to open or change a business account without a notarized authorizing resolution, and Chinese banks, courts and government offices almost always expect notarization before they accept a US company document.
So if a bank or a Chinese authority is asking, treat notarization as required. For use inside China, the receiving office may also want an apostille on top of the notarization. We confirm what your recipient needs, notarize the resolution in one 30 minute Zoom session from anywhere in China, and coordinate the apostille at cost when required.
Why this is hard to DIY
- ! Banks will not open business accounts without notarized authorizing resolutions.
- ! Resolutions are often required from multiple officers or directors. Coordinating live signatures is the bottleneck.

Frequently asked
Do LLC resolutions or corporate resolutions need to be notarized? +
Usually no statute requires it. The requirement comes from whoever is receiving the resolution: banks want notarized authorizing resolutions before opening or changing a business account, and title companies, landlords and lenders ask for the same before accepting a signature made on behalf of the company. If your bank or counterparty has asked for a notarized resolution, their request is the rule that matters, and we can complete it from China over Zoom.
My bank says they require an Apostille. Do I need that too? +
Some banks require an apostille on top of the notarization for foreign use. We coordinate the state apostille if needed. Government fees billed at cost.
